Cue Clothing and its sister brand Veronika Maine have poached a new chief executive from rival womenswear label Trenery in the first big move by the business since it was sold to British investor Hilco Capital.
Melanie Remai is the latest departure from the Country Road Group stable, where she had worked for three years. Country Road is owned by South Africa’s Woolworths Holdings and runs its eponymous label along with Witchery, Mimco, Politix and Trenery, a brand known for using natural fibres, particularly linen, wool, cotton, silk and cashmere.
