Renewables developer Ampyr Energy Global wants a deep-pocketed investor for its 400MW Wellington battery-energy storage system in the NSW, three months after buying out Shell’s 50 per cent stake in the project.
Street Talk can reveal Ampyr, led locally by a former CSIRO and AEMO executive Alex Wonhas, has mandated Azure Capital to introduce it to potential equity partners. A flyer titled Project Kiwi is in front of investors, but the exact deal structure and the bidding timetable are yet to be set.
