Activist asset manager Tanarra Capital has taken a stake in Endeavour, the troubled hospitality group Endeavour, the operator of Dan Murphy’s and BWS liquor chains and a portfolio of hundreds of pubs.
Tanarra Capital’s investment comes at a difficult time for Endeavour, which is without a permanent chief executive despite a six-month search. The company’s chairman Ari Mervis has been appointed executive chairman and is undertaking a review of its various businesses, which extend to premium wine auction house Langton’s and a clutch of vineyards.
